Title IX Map

Effective on August 1, 2024, the Biden administration’s Title IX Omnibus Rule unilaterally rewrites the landmark sex equality law. It undermines women’s rights, parental rights, free speech, and due process. The rule requires schools to discriminate against women and girls by allowing males to take opportunities from them and enter private spaces designated for females.

Fortunately, states across the country, and organizations, including Independent Women’s Law Center, are pushing back against the rule by filing lawsuits. In many cases, judges have granted preliminary injunctions. A preliminary injunction pauses enforcement of the final rule during the course of litigation, meaning that schools in these states or areas will not currently be required to comply with the rule.

See the map below to know whether your school is protected from having to comply with the Title IX rewrite or if your state has a pending lawsuit in place.

The U.S. Supreme Court denied the Biden-Harris administration’s request to partially reinstate its new Title IX rule in states with preliminary injunctions, allowing the rule to remain blocked.

You can stand against this rule through IWN’s Take Back Title IX Action Center.
