On Tuesday, June 20th, the IWN Dallas Chapter held its second gathering at Red Stix Street Food in Park Cities. Restaurant owner Uno Immanivong spoke to members about her journey from refugee camp to realizing her dreams, inspiring those present with her own American Dream story.
During an exquisite meal prepared by Chef Uno, Chapter Leader Carol Nichols shared about IW’s efforts to protect women’s spaces. She detailed the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority girls’ fight to have an all-female membership, including their pending lawsuit and media appearances. Nichols championed females everywhere, whether in athletics, sorority houses, universities, or businesses; and encouraged members to get involved. Those present received resources on how to join the fight and left full — both with good food and high spirits.
