Independent Women’s Network Hosts Chapter Meeting with Author Carrie Sheffield to Discuss New Book, “Motorhome Prophecies: A Journey of Healing and Forgiveness”

The New York City Chapter of Independent Women’s Network recently hosted a Chapter Meeting featuring author Carrie Sheffield, who discussed her newly published book, “Motorhome Prophecies: A Journey of Healing and Forgiveness.” The event took place on Monday, March 18, 2024, and provided attendees with an opportunity to delve into the inspiring story of resilience and redemption depicted in Sheffield’s memoir.

Carrie Sheffield, a senior policy analyst with Independent Women’s Forum, holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University, with a concentration in business policy. Sheffield’s latest work, “Motorhome Prophecies,” offers readers a captivating narrative that showcases the depths and resilience of the human spirit.

“Motorhome Prophecies” chronicles Sheffield’s extraordinary journey from despair to salvation, highlighting her unwavering determination to overcome abuse, trauma, and depression. Through a combination of therapy, faith, and the support of her faith community, Sheffield emerges triumphant, inspiring readers to embark on their own paths of healing, forgiveness, and redemption.

Aundrea Amine, the NYC Chapter Leader of Independent Women’s Network, expressed her delight in welcoming Carrie Sheffield to the Chapter Meeting. “Carrie’s story is not only important but also timely,” Amine said, “shedding light on the power of perseverance and the transformative nature of faith and forgiveness. Makenna McCoy, a member of the NYC chapter, spoke highly of Sheffield’s “anti-resume” book, saying, “Carrie Sheffield is a professional mentor to me, but most importantly a friend who lives out her values and seeks to help those navigating mental health struggles in their own families, like myself.” McCoy praised “Motorhome Prophecies” as a vital resource for the younger generation, who are increasingly grappling with issues of isolation, depression, and mental health struggles. “Carrie has a special gift for interweaving her personal story with psychology, neuroscience, and spirituality,” McCoy said.
