IWN Fairfax County, VA Chapter Leader Calls Out School District for Lack of Transparency and Fairness

On Thursday, December 19, 2024, Independent Women’s Network Chapter Leader Stephanie Lundquist-Arora testified before the Fairfax County Public School Board (FCPS) about the district’s struggle with transparency, accountability, and fairness. Stephanie’s full testimony can be viewed here at time stamp 39:35.

When we caught up with Stephanie after her testimony, she provided additional insight into the challenges with the district her three boys are enrolled in. “After the superintendent seemingly tried to cover-up an athletic scandal regarding the use of “homeless student status” for a football team, it now appears that district leadership is stacking a community advisory committee with people who share their predetermined conclusions. Together with this stacked committee, the superintendent and school board members are embarking on a school boundary overhaul that will redistrict our children for the sake of “equity” above all else.”
