Members of the Philadelphia and Lancaster chapters of Independent Women’s Network (IWN) recently joined forces to attend the Stand With Women forum, a groundbreaking event hosted by Independent Women’s Voice (IWV). The forum, held in Philadelphia, emphasized the urgent need to protect women’s rights in a world that continues to undermine them.
The event garnered significant media coverage, with millions of listeners tuning into the livestream. Distinguished speakers, including former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, IWV Ambassador Riley Gaines, and Meghan McCain, former co-host of ABC’s “The View” and current host of the podcast “Citizen McCain,” captivated the audience with their powerful messages.
One of the highlights of the event was the strong sense of community displayed by the members of Independent Women’s Network’s Lancaster and Philadelphia chapters. Their collective presence demonstrated the genuine camaraderie fostered by IWN.
Wendy Voulopos, pictured above with Coach Kim, the Lancaster, PA Chapter Leader of Independent Women’s Network, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating, “This was another critical day in the historical fight for women’s rights to safety and fairness in competitive sports. Riley Gaines and the other athletes and coaches have worked tirelessly to raise awareness against titles, scholarships and privacy being stolen from women and girls by biological male athletes. It was exciting to see Tulsi Gabbard and male athletes join the fight. Our Chapter is proud to lock arms with the Philadelphia, PA Chapter and Independent Women’s Voice to stand up, push back, and say ‘no’, you cannot take away our girls’ right to fair and safe competition. We refuse to be erased!”
Elizabeth Harris, the Philadelphia, PA Chapter Leader of Independent Women’s Network, also shared her excitement, remarking, “The Stand with Women conference featuring Tulsi Gabbard and Riley Gaines was an incredibly special event with inspiring speakers, hosts, and attendees. I am overwhelmed by the support from Pennsylvania men and women who want to save girls and women’s sports!”
The Stand With Women forum served as a platform to address the pressing issue of maintaining fairness in women’s sports. It highlighted the importance of upholding the integrity of female competition and ensuring that opportunities are not unjustly taken away from women and girls.
Independent Women’s Network continues to be at the forefront of advocating for women’s rights and empowering women in their communities. Through events like the Stand With Women forum, IWN strives to create a society where women can thrive and succeed without facing discrimination or inequality.
