Survivor Alerts Parents: Trafficking Can Happen While Your Child is Still Living at Home
Sheri Lopez is the founder of the nonprofit Pearl at the Mailbox and a survivor of human trafficking. She was groomed and trafficked at the age of 15 in 1980, long before trafficking was a conversation in the public square. Sheri helps parents understand how brainwashing and blackmail can weaken the bond between parent and child. She speaks boldly about her experience to educate Americans about the child grooming process so that people can understand what grooming is and how it happens.
