Arizona Independent Women’s Network Chapters Welcome Our Bodies Our Sports Coalition’s Take Back Title IX Bus Tour to Scottsdale, AZ

On Thursday, June 13, 2024, the Arizona Chapters of Independent Women’s Network proudly hosted the Our Bodies, Our Sports coalition’s Take Back Title IX Bus Tour in Scottsdale, AZ. This groundbreaking tour, featuring former Olympians, NCAA and high school athletes, coaches, and prominent women’s advocates, aims to shed light on the Biden administration’s Title IX regulations and the detrimental impact these new rules will have on women, posing a growing threat to their equal athletic opportunity, privacy, and safety.

A momentous occasion, the event took place at Volanti on the Scottsdale Airpark flightline, drawing a large crowd eager to hear from these courageous women. The Take Back Title IX Bus Tour builds upon the momentum generated by the Our Bodies, Our Sports coalition over the past two years, as they have steadfastly championed the rights of women and girls. Their efforts have resulted in the creation of the largest and most ideologically diverse women’s movement of our time.

Formed in 2022, the Our Bodies, Our Sports coalition is dedicated to defending women’s sports and preserving the integrity of the female sporting category. Despite their political and ideological differences, coalition members unite in gratitude for the generations of female athletes who paved the way and in defense of all the women and girls who will follow.

The coalition comprises esteemed organizations such as Independent Women’s Forum (IWF), Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF), Champion Women, Women’s Sports Policy Working Group, International Consortium on Female Sports (ICFS), Independent Council on Women’s Sports (ICONS), the U.S. chapter of Women’s Declaration International (WDI USA), Concerned Women for America (CWA), Young Women for America (YWA), Independent Women’s Voice (IWV), Independent Women’s Law Center (IWLC), and Independent Women’s Network (IWN).

Christy Narsi, IWN National Chapter Director, Phoenix, AZ Chapter Chair and event emcee, expressed her excitement, stating, “What a thrill to have the Our Bodies Our Sports Bus Tour in our own state! It is no secret that the Biden administration has launched an attack on women from all sides. From Arizona’s open border and out-of-control costs at the grocery store, to the literal attempt to erase us entirely, we are being hunted. But as we’ve done throughout history, we will fight for our right to live in safety and we will demand our constitutional right to equal opportunity.”

Samantha Keddington, Chandler, Arizona Chapter Leader, Founder and President of the Worldwide Disc Golf Organization, and professional disc golfer and tournament director of over 15 years, shared her enthusiasm, saying, “The most amazing part of the bus tour was spending time with all of the strong women who are out there fighting this battle head-on!”

Independent Women’s Network, established to stand alongside women ready to revitalize the U.S. economy and safeguard women’s freedoms, counters the woke mob and confronts cancel culture and out-of-touch bureaucrats. The Network’s Chapters foster enduring connections among women, empowering them to take local action and support one another as they lead on issues critical to our country.
