Conversation with “Billboard Chris”: Defeating Gender Ideology and Protecting Children from Medical Harm
Chris Elston – “Billboard Chris” on social media – is a Canadian father of two girls. Chris travels across the United States and Canada talking to people about the dangers of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and medical procedures that remove young people’s healthy body parts. Activists refer to these procedures as “gender affirming care,” but Chris exposes them as the biggest child abuse scandal in the history of modern medicine. Chris believes that children should be free to be who they are, not told they were born in the wrong body.
Chris is a master at clearly and calmly sharing facts and disputing the myths around gender ideology. In this conversation, Chris shares the most effective strategies for communicating about this difficult topic and provides specific suggestions for how to defeat gender ideology and protect emotionally vulnerable young people from medical harm. He details the legislative progress over the last two years, as well as the growing number of whistleblowers, lawsuits, and media investigations. The conversation concludes with a discussion about two state-level efforts to defeat gender ideology: a California ballot initiative and Sage’s Law in Virginia.
