Senator Ossoff failed to send a bill protecting women’s sports to President Trump’s desk. The U.S. House passed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, one of the first votes taken in Congress, with bipartisan support, but Senator Ossoff blocked the vote to keep men out of women’s sports, preventing the legislation from passing.
This Act would have strengthened Title IX sex-based protections by explicitly prohibiting males from participating in school athletic programs that are designated for women. It aligns with the 79% of Americans across the country who believe men should not compete in women’s sports.
