Tell Planned Parenthood Stop Prescribing Life-Altering Drugs to Vulnerable Teens

A growing number of people who underwent medical interventions to try to present as the opposite sex are experiencing regret and trauma as they realize the lasting physical damage done by these “treatments.”

Detransitioners are shocked to learn that drugs to “pause” puberty are not reversible and that a few months of opposite-sex hormones can permanently alter voices and physical appearance, and that weak bones and elevated cancer risks are among potential fallout.

Planned Parenthood is a chief source of drug therapy prescriptions for minors and young adults seeking to present themselves as the opposite sex. Detransitioners, including those featured in IWF’s Identity Crisis series, have described how, when experiencing confusion about their identity, they reached out to Planned Parenthood and were quickly prescribed life-altering drugs. Planned Parenthood received in excess of $500 million in taxpayer funding in 2023—so these “treatments” are being paid for at least in part by your taxpayer dollars.

It would be impossible for these young people to ever fully understand the risks and irreversible damage these drugs could cause. Now, detransitioners struggle to find practitioners able to oversee their medical care as they seek to live again as their natural biological sex. These detransitioners deserve better treatment, and at-risk communities need more protection from those who would rush them toward a medically unnecessary and harmful “treatment” plan.

Send a message to Congress to investigate how Planned Parenthood is misusing your taxpayer dollars and has become one of the country’s largest suppliers of these hormones and other therapies that are destroying the healthy bodies of so many vulnerable young women and men.
