IWN Loudoun VA Chapter Leader Joins VA Del. LaRock to Speak up for Parent Rights

WN Loudon County, Virginia chapter leader Suzanne Satterfield recently spoke at a press conference held to discuss Sage’s Law, a new Virginia House bill that protects parents’ rights.

The law will require schools to notify parents if their child socially transitions to a new gender identity, prohibits teachers from hiding that transition, and clarifies the meaning of “child abuse” to not include “misgendering.”

The vote was 50-48, split down party lines.

Sage’s Law comes from the testimony of a Virginia student who endured violence and trauma as a result of her school hiding her gender identity from her parents. Hear the moving testimony of her mother here.
