On Wednesday, April 16, 2025 Independent Women Southern New Hampshire Chapter Leader Bronwyn Sims testified on SB268. While Bronwyn Sims expressed strong support for protecting women’s rights, privacy, and safety, she stopped short of fully endorsing the bill in its current form. In her testimony, Sims called the amended version of SB 268 “a step in the right direction,” particularly praising the amendment that defines sex and biological sex as either male or female. However, she voiced concerns about the inclusion of “gender identity” in the bill, cautioning that this language “opens the door to allowing men to enter women’s spaces.” Her remarks reflect a neutral position: support for the bill’s intent, but a desire for further revision to ensure more robust protections for women.
